A Very Special Visit from South Korea

Last Wednesday 25th September 2019, the school was visited by a special delegation of South Korean teachers.

In Seoul, the capital of the country, air quality is often at unhealthy levels. The delegation had heard about the school’s approach to improving air quality for its community, as part of the Mayor’s Air Quality Audit Programme. They wanted to find out how they could learn from what we have been doing.

The delegation was impressed by our living walls in our two playground spaces and the Year 5 children who talked them through our air quality mapping project from last year.

The teachers had a lot of questions and a lot of fantastic feedback for the school’s achievements and the children’s articulate explanations!

We intend to maintain links with the teachers, who visited, and their classes to share ideas and projects around air quality approaches, and the children will be getting involved in this too.
