Secondary Transfer

Secondary Admissions 2021/22

When does the application process finish?

The admissions team have suggested that you apply before the deadline date in case of any issues. From previous experience we strongly recommend that you submit your application by Friday 23 October 2020 (the week before half term) in case there are any issues with submitting your application (e.g. problems with internet access, forgotten username or password etc.).

You can apply online up to 30 October 2020, this date will not change.

How do we apply and what happens once I have applied?

23 October 2020 - Recommended application return date: submit your online application by this date. If you miss the deadline, your application will not be processed until after all on time applications.

31 October 2020 - Application deadline: this is the final date for you to submit your application online. We strongly recommend that you submit your application by 23 October 2020.

29 November 2020 - Exceptional social/medical application deadline: you must submit your application and supporting documentation by this date in order for it to be considered alongside all on time applications.

1 March 2021 - Offer day: you will receive your result by email in the evening of 1 March 2021 15 March 2021 Acceptance deadline: you must accept (or decline) your school place by this date. You can do this online.

2 April 2021 - Appeal deadline: submit your online appeal for an Islington community school by this date. For other types of schools, please refer to the school’s website. Remember, you can still appeal even if you have accepted a place at a different school.

31 December 2021 - Waiting Lists: Your child’s name will automatically be removed from all waiting lists. To add your child to a waiting list, you will need to submit an in-year application.

The main change this year is around testing for certain schools.  Children that sit late tests for schools in November and don’t perform so well, admissions will now allow changes to their applications after the deadline. The change will only be made if it is in relation to testing though.

The schools listed below are the schools that were most popular with Prior Weston children over the last 3 years, these are listed in rank order.
